Photography & Video My name is Daniel Cabello, and I have been documenting the days that people don’t want to forget for years. Weddings, communions, celebrations... moments that pass quickly and deserve to stay. I don’t like to interrupt. I prefer to be there, silently waiting for that second when everything happens on its own: the escaping emotion, the glance that says it all, the laughter that no one planned. That’s what I try to capture. I work throughout Andalusia with a single obsession: that when you look at the photos or the video years later, you feel exactly what you felt that day. ---

I have been doing this for years, and what I have learned the most is not technique, but patience. Learning to be present without disturbing, to anticipate without intervening, to disappear among people so that everything happens normally. Because the best moments are never requested; they simply happen. I have been at weddings where the groom cried before she appeared. At communions where the grandparents looked at each other without saying anything, and in that silence, there was a whole life. At celebrations where the dance floor at two in the morning told more stories than any speech. Those are the moments I seek. The ones no one organizes but everyone remembers. Over time, I have understood that my job is not to take pretty pictures. It’s that in ten, twenty, or thirty years, when someone opens those images or watches that video again, they feel something. That it tightens their chest a little. That they smile involuntarily. That they remember not only how they looked that day but how they felt. I work throughout Andalusia, and I treat each project as if it were the only one. ---

Honestly, there are many good photographers. I’m not going to tell you that I’m the best or that my photos are unique in the world because that probably isn’t true. What I can tell you is this: I take the days that don’t repeat very seriously. When someone hires me for their wedding or their child’s communion, I know there’s no second chance. That moment happens once, and that’s it. That responsibility doesn’t weigh on me; it focuses me. I care about getting to know you before the day. Knowing who you are, what makes you nervous, what makes you laugh, who the most important people in the room are to you. Not to make a questionnaire, but because that completely changes how I work. It’s not the same to photograph strangers as it is to photograph people you already know something about. And when it’s all over and I deliver the work to you, I want you to feel that it was done with care. Not mass edited, not processed in a hurry.
