We present ourselves with a modern and current air without leaving behind the classic. DARK CASTANETS consists of four parts: "CLASSICS" where we perform songs by great composers such as Vivaldi's Four Seasons with a great technical and virtuoso level, Piazzola's Livertango, Turandot's Nessun Dorma, among others... "OUR COMPOSERS" is a part dedicated to authors from our land, and with well-known zarzuela themes such as La Mazurca de las Sombrillas, La Revoltosa... "CINEMA" is one of the most innovative parts since themes such as Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, Game of Thrones, among other themes of the big screen have never been performed before with castanets. "DARK CASTANETS" in this part we can see the FIRST CASTANETS WITH LIGHT in the world. They were created for the video clip FIRE, and without a doubt they give the show something never seen before, adding the novelty of original songs for CASTANETS BCN.
Team
Castanets BCN, we are a quintet of concert castanets players, all with a solo career. The group was formed in 2018 with the idea of breaking the mold regarding this instrument. Directed by Mar Bezana.
